The April 8th Food Marketing Task Force Meeting will take place at the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, 7 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, from 9-11am.

You are invited to join co-chairs Representative Dwight Evans and Mr. Walt Rubel of Acme at a presentation by Lamont Blackstone, principal of G.L. Blackstone&Associates, a commercial real estate consulting firm specializing in urban core markets. Following Mr. Blackstone's presentation, there will be a briefing on the statewide results of the Fresh Food Financing Initiative.

Following the release of the Food for Every Child report, City Councilor Blondell Reynolds Brown directed The Food Trust to convene a Food Marketing Task Force to produce a report recommending policy changes to improve the availability of affordable, nutritious food in Philadelphia. The Food Marketing Task Force is composed of more than 40 experts from city government, the supermarket industry, and the civic sector.
