Yoder Heirlooms at Hopeland Farm
Lititz, PA
Kathy Yoder, Colleen McLoughlin, and Matthew Yoder
Yoder Heirlooms at Hopeland Farm is maintained by the hands of Kathy Yoder, Colleen McLoughlin, and Matthew Yoder. We grow over 200 varieties of fruits and vegetables exclusively from non-genetically modified seed stock and without the aid of oil-based plastic cover or drip tape. The plants are watered by hand from two of Pennsylvania's cleanest water sources, the Segloch Run and Furnace Run, which meet on the 260 acre property five miles North of Lititz. We will be farming intensively on two acres in both the German four square bed and French row styles.
This is our first year farming on our own and we are anxious to bear witness to the artistry of the vegetables we are growing, many of which will be new to our own eyes as they begin to blossom. In addition, we anticipate coming to market with West African greens, grown from seeds direct from Sierra Leone, and unique perennial flower arrangements from the gardens of Kathy Yoder. Colleen, Kathy, a host of occasional characters, and I look forward to sharing our love for what we do with you all on a regular basis this Summer!
